How to Apply
New families interested in enrolling should first take the time to learn about the school. This is best accomplished by completing a thorough review of the school web site followed by a conversation with school director Andy Smallman (206.324.4350 or email). After that, interested families are encouraged to visit in order to better understand the educational philosophy and practices of the school.
Those wanting to pursue admission are provided an application form. After returning the completed application (with a $50 application fee), a question & answer session is scheduled with the school director or with our Admissions Committee.
Summary of the application process:
- Call and speak with school director Andy Smallman or a school representative, 206.324.4350.
- Tour the school during a Visitation Day or an Open House.
- Schedule a meeting with Director Andy Smallman to discuss enrollment options.
- Request application materials from the school office or use our online application materials.
Mid-Year Enrollment
Mid-year enrollments are considered when capacity allows, and handled in a similar manner, but also involve the perspectives, opinions and recommendations of the currently enrolled students. Please note, we strive to find ways to involve students and their families who are able to demonstrate they will be a positive addition to our community regardless of when they apply.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Puget Sound Community School has an open admissions policy that reflects our aim to respect individual differences and learn from diversity. We admit students of any racial, national, religious, or ethnic origin, from all backgrounds, belief systems, family dynamics, and orientations. In short, we recognize and invite the participation of all people, not discriminating on any basis in the administration of our programs.
Please note that students must attend PSCS for a minimum of three full years in order to be eligible to graduate and receive a high school diploma from PSCS.
