Tuition & Fees
Tuition is $14,745 for the 2010-11 school year. There are three payment options available.
The Board of Trustees sets the tuition for the following school year every February. A non-refundable deposit of is due at time the enrollment agreement is signed. This deposit is credited toward the student's tuition.
Financial Aid
PSCS believes that any student who can benefit from attending should not let lack of financial resources stop them from applying. To the extent that our funds permit, financial aid is available to deserving students whose parents are able to establish financial need through the financial aid application process.
PSCS uses the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Service to conduct financial need analysis. Financial aid does NOT automatically renew each year. If you wish to receive financial assistance for the next school year, you must complete an application. All financial aid information received will be treated confidentially.
All admissions decisions are made independently of the financial aid process. The families of incoming students should apply for aid only after receiving a letter of acceptance.
Should I apply for Financial Aid?
For most families managing the cost of a private school education takes planning and effort. PSCS recognizes that the primary responsibility for financing a student's independent school
education rests with his or her family. To the extent that they are able, families enrolled at PSCS are expected to pay for the educational expenses of their children. There are no set guidelines that we can offer to help you decide whether to apply for financial aid. While the amount expected from parents depends on the family's ability to pay, each family's circumstances are different and many other factors beyond income are taken into consideration when making financial aid awards. Among these are parent and student assets, family size, how many children attend tuition charging schools, and how close parents are to retirement. In circumstances where parents are divorced, the incomes from divorced parents and their new partners are combined.
General Award Guidelines
In determining financial aid awards, the committee relies largely on the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Service application information. However, the school uses these results only as a guideline. School policy, knowledge of the families’ financial situation, and other information are considered when assessing a family’s ability to pay for education.
